Continuous Casting

Continuous casting is a widely used method for producing high-quality metal shapes with a fine uniform grain structure. This process involves the solidification of molten metal into a mold that rapidly chills to the solidified temperature point, resulting in superior properties of the end product.

In this process, the molten metal from the furnace is poured into a cemented pot with a graphite die on the neck side. Post that, the lower half of the die is cooled with water to settle the metal. Once the metal has been settled, it is then withdrawn from the bars through a set of rollers. Finally, the flying saw cuts through the bar at the required lengths, providing our customers with high-quality, precision-cut shapes.

Our team of experts is dedicated to ensuring that our processes are efficient, reliable, and consistently uphold the highest quality standards.

There are several advantages to continuous casting :

  • It greatly improves the mechanical characteristics and properties of the metal, such as resistance, toughness, and hardness.
  • There is a low porosity level and less wear and tear due to the fine grain structure.
  • Bottom pouring and fast cooling ensure a tight grain structure of the metal with excellent pressure tightness and elimination of inclusions like pinholes.
  • The products manufactured through this process have high quality and effective cost and property outcomes.
